Willa Mae Stuckey

Willa Mae “Billie” Stuckey, 92, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2019 at Parkview Hospice in Fort Wayne. She was born on May 19, 1926 in Berne to Harvey H. and Elda (Lehman) Moser. She was married on March 30, 1947 in Berne to Wayne B. Stuckey. She and her husband were born on the same day and year, in the same town and delivered by the same doctor.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur. She graduated from Berne High School Class of 1944. She was a loving homemaker for her family. She was also a bookkeeper. She enjoyed cross-stitching, journaling, scrapbooking and reading.

She is survived by two sons, Ted W. (Sue) Stuckey of Hesston, Kansas; and Max L. Stuckey of Decatur; daughter, Jayne A. (Sam) Beitler of Evansville; five grandchildren, Wayne H. (Melody) Stuckey of Wichita, Kansas; Rachel (Hollins) Showalter of Indianapolis; and Andrew (Amanda) Beitler; Katie Beitler; and Michael (Courtney) Beitler, all of Evansville; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Stuckey; Aubrey Stuckey; Jillian Showalter; Reid Showalter; and Holden Beitler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on  September 16, 2011; and sister, Maxiene Street.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 2:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, April 27 at Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Rossman and Pastor Sherrie Drake.

Memorials may be made to Zion United Church of Christ or Adams Memorial Hospital.
