Willa Adams

Willa M. Adams, 91, loving wife, mother and lifelong caregiver, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Albany Health and Rehabilitation. She was born September 9, 1929, in Muncie to Lester and Helen (Hahn) Keeley. She was married November 23, 1946, in Greensburg to Robert E. Adams.
She graduated from Muncie Central in 1947. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Ball State University School of Nursing and later completed her nursing education at Anderson College. She worked for over 40 years at Ball Memorial Hospital, first as an LPN and later as a registered nurse at Fountain View Nursing Facility and Westminster Village.
She was a member of the Eaton United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener who took pride in her flowers and who also loved to can her vegetables. She was a longtime member of Methodist Women, ABWA, American Business Women’s Association, Good Sams camping group, Eastern Star and American Legion.
She is survived by two sons, Robert (Terri) Adams; and Gregory (Valarie) Adams; daughter, Jennifer Horsley; son-in-law, John Horsley; daughter-in-law, Janie Adams; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Todd Adams; brother, Clyde Keeley; and sister, Patsy Hodson.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, August 13 at 10 a.m. at Gardens of Memory 10703 N. State Road 3, Muncie.
