Wayne Foust

Wayne Lee Foust, 84, of Berne passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur. He was born June 30, 1938, in Wells County to Henry and Clara B. (Mayer) Foust. He was married Nov. 1, 1963, at First Missionary Church in Berne to Diana R. Pharr.
He was a long-time member of First Missionary Church in Berne. His love for the Lord extended beyond the walls of the church, and he had a deep desire for others to come to Jesus.
He was employed by Franklin Electric for over 40 years before retiring.
He was an avid sports, especially for the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He was also recognized by South Adams for being a loyal fan and supporter of the basketball program for many years. He and his wife loved their grandchildren dearly and supported them by attending nearly all of their activities.
He is survived by his four sons, Dean (Jana) Foust of Goshen; Darrin Foust; and Don Foust, both of Berne; Pastor Dathen (Dawn) Foust of Decatur; sister, Nancy (Jay) Betts of Petroleum; seven grandchildren, Joshua Foust; Cody Foust; Tanner (Heather) Foust; Walker (Katelyn) Foust; Claira Foust; Luke Foust; and William Foust; and four great-grandchildren, Ariel Foust; Jasper Foust; Owen Foust; and Miles Foust.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on June 20, 2010; grandson, Brandon Michael Foust; and two sisters, Nellie Biberstein; and Dorothy Schwartz.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 15 from 4-8 p.m. at First Missionary Church in Berne and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, June 16 at Cornerstone Church, 909 E. Monroe St., Decatur. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Schwartz and Pastor Ken Hogg. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in rural Berne.
