Victor Stenger

Victor E. Stenger, 68, of Berne passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his residence. He was born August 2, 1953, in Brookville to Victor and Mary (Reuter) Stenger. He was married September 1, 2017, to Alice Rhodes.
He worked part time at South Adams as a janitor. Before working at South Adams, he worked at Caterpillar in Lafayette for 10 years. He had a deep love for his family. He enjoyed farming, and farmed alongside his father and uncle up until his early 50s. He also enjoyed doing puzzles and loved to cut grass. He was passionate about traveling, and this is how he met his wife. He loved going to Bradenton, Florida, where his parents wintered for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife of Berne; son, Steven Pryba of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Elizabeth Terwillier of Waterville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Caroline Pryba; and Eli Terwillier; four sisters, June Ott; Jean (Bill) Dwenger; Virginia (Gene) Buck; and Martha (Bill) Dramann; and two cats, Baby and Peaka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Joeann Stenger; and Darline Steinmetz.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, December 14 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel, 365 W. Main St., Berne. Officiating will be Father Jonathan Agdedo.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
