Thomas Eugene Wilkins, 83 of Berne passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021. He was born December 1, 1938, to Eugene and Minnie (Behling) Wilkins. He was married June 30, 1960, to Riginia “Joyce” Wulliman. 
He graduated from Berne-French Township High School in Berne. After high school, he received an associate’s degree in electronics from DeVry Institute in Chicago. He worked for Magnavox in Fort Wayne and Columbia City most of his life as a technical publicist. He retired from Magnavox in 1994.
He was a member and faithful attendee of High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva.
He was an avid antique car collector and enthusiast. Over the past 20 years, he enjoyed attending and entering his cars in local car shows along with his son, Scott, and grandson, Coleton, where he was awarded many trophies over that time.
He had a large family with whom he was very close and had wonderful relationships. He enjoyed cooking for and spending time with his family at countless gatherings throughout the years. He was always the life of the party and liked to make everyone laugh. He was loved dearly by all and will be thoroughly missed.
He is survived by his wife of Berne; three sons, Scott Wilkins of Geneva; and Troy (Tanya) Wilkins; and Tim Wilkins, both of Berne; daughter, Teresa (Cory) Reckard of Poneto; sister-in-law, Jayne (Rick) Wilkins of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, Jameson (Stacey) Wilkins of Plant City, Florida; Danielle (Austin) Hammontree of Berne; Nathan Wilkins; and Shane Wilkins, both of Valrico, Florida; Whitney (John) Cress of North Raleigh, North Carolina; Coleton Wilkins of Poneto; Cheyann (Daniel) Goodin of Norfolk, Virgina; Jared Reckard of Louisville, Kentucky; and Kara Reckard of Muncie; and four great-grandchildren, Monty Goodin of Norkfolk, Virginia; Abel Hammontree; and Jolene Hammontree, both of Berne; and Wren Wilkins of Plant City, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Rick Wilkins of Fort Wayne.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
