Tamera J. Balsiger

Tamera J. Balsiger, 58, of Berne passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on March 5, 1960 in Adams County to Duane E. and Martha G. (McDaniel) Harmon. She was married on September 3, 1983 to Jan A. Balsiger.

She was a member of First Missionary Church in Berne. She was a farm wife and homemaker and employed by South Adams Elementary School. She was a one of kind woman who loved God, family, and others. She had an incredible heart for special needs kids. She enjoyed spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren. She also loved reading her Bible, cooking, crafts, crocheting, and going to Celina to relax by the lake. Every day, she would wear a smile and made others feel so loved and cared for. She was a prayer warrior and truly believed and trusted in God. We know that this is not a goodbye but a see you later.

She is survived by her husband of Berne; son, Lance A. (Whitney) Balsiger of Berne; three daughters, Bethany F. (Daniel) Busche of Linn Grove; Jalisa P. (Bradley) Abnet of Geneva; and Sharon R. Balsiger of Berne; brother, Darrell (Roxanne) Harmon of Decatur; brother-in-law, Bob Baughman of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Vincent Balsiger; Lillian Busche; and Easton Abnet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sharon Baughman.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13 and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, April 14 at the First Missionary Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Dathan Foust. Burial will be at Springhill/Backesto Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the grandchildren’s education fund.
