Sylvia Shetler

Sylvia K. Shetler, 85, of rural Berne, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her residence.  She was born Monday, February 3, 1936, in Adams County to John K. And Katie (Coblentz) Hilty. She married Valentine J. Shetler Thursday, November 27, 1958. 
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by nine sons, Milton V. (Leah) Shetler of Kentucky, Tim V. (Maggie) Shetler, Jake V. (Anna) Shetler, Sam V. (Laura) Shetler, Mose V. (Margaret) Shetler, and Eli V. (Margaret) Shetler of Berne, Dan V. (Anna) Shetler of Portland, John V. (Leah) Shetler and Valentine V. (Suzy) Shelter of Geneva; six daughters, Effie V. (Menno) Coblentz of Portland, Esther V. (Jake) Eicher of Kentucky; Rebecca V. (Chris) Graber and Rosie V. (Toby) Hilty of Geneva, Marie V. (Jonie) Graber and Lucy V. (John) Hilty of Berne; brothers, Elmer K. Hilty and John K. Hilty of Geneva; sisters, Savilla K. Shetler of Monroe, Katherine K. Schwartz of Etna Green and Susie K. (William) Schwartz of Ohio; 162 grandchildren; and 193 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, and five sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 8 from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, April 9 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sylvia Shetler residence, 2406 W. 350 S., Berne.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at the residence with Bishop Marvin L. Hilty officiating. Burial will follow in the Schwartz Cemetery in Adams County.
