Sydney Stucky

Sydney Reusser Stucky, 76, of Noblesville passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his daughter’s residence in Fort Wayne. He was born on December 16, 1942 in Berne to Sherman and Rebecca “Becky” (Reusser) Stucky. He was married on July 28, 1962 at the First Mennonite Church in Berne to Jane Brewster.
He was a former member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne. He retired in 2004 from Inland Container in Indianapolis with 18 years of service and had also worked at Mayflower Van Lines in Carmel for 12 years. He trained and showed Arabian horses for 25 years in the Indianapolis area and was well known for his skills.
He is survived by two daughters, Jerilyn (Michael) Litke of Noblesville; and Stacia (John) Kennedy of Fort Wayne; brother, Steve (Pat) Stucky of West Lafayette; sister-in-law, Darlene Stucky of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Brandon (Meghann) Hitch; Brittany Kennedy; and Billy Kennedy; and three great-grandchildren, Ezra Hitch; Rhett Hitch; and Imogene Hitch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on July 9, 2004; brother, Dr. Jerry Stucky; and sister-in-law, Gail Simon.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 9 at MRE Cemetery in Berne. Officiating was Dave McIntire.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice in Fort Wayne.
