Steven Buckingham

Steven Ray Buckingham, 69, of Geneva passed away Tuesday June 29, 2021, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born August 31, 1951, in Adams County to Earl Buckingham and Alice Mathys Long. He was married December 23, 1978, to Cheryl Keen.
He was a 1969 South Adams High School graduate and retired from Fort Recovery Industries. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, fishing, history, politics, music and most of all family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; son, Derek (Lisa) Buckingham of Huntertown; two daughters, Sherie (Josh) Miller of Portland; and Beth (Dee) Buck of Portland; brother, Jerry (Teresa) Buckingham of Michigan; three sisters, Joyce Stookey of Geneva; Donna (David) Morse of Lafayette; and Marlene (Bill) Ellis of Berne;   six grandchildren, Jonathan (Whitney) Overmyer of Redkey; Dylan Baughman; and Nathanael Miller, both of Portland; and Ellie Buckingham; Gabriel Buckingham; and Olivia Buckingham, all of Fort Wayne; one great-grandson, Milo Overmyer of Redkey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Todd Brinkerhoff; and brother, Larry Buckingham.
Visitation will be three hours prior to the 3 p.m. funeral service Monday, July 5 at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Smith. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
