Stanley Inniger

Rev. Stanley Alan Inniger, 78, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ Monday, March 1, 2021. He was born November 21, 1942, in Berne to Homer and Lillie (Templin) Inniger. He was married August 5, 1967, at the Pettisville Missionary Church in Pettisville, Ohio to Rebecca Goldsmith.
He was blessed to be born and raised in a Christian home, and they attended First Missionary Church of Berne. While a young man, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He attended Fort Wayne Bible College and graduated in 1967. In 1973, he and his wife went to the Dominican Republic, where they served for seven years. Back in the United States, he pastored in Michigan and Indiana. Following the call to missions again, they served as missionaries in Dublin, Ireland beginning in 2005. They returned to the United States in 2011 and retired to Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sara (Rev. Kent) Scantlin of Fort Wayne; and Suzanne (Shane) Conover of Gary; son, Benjamin (Jessica) Inniger of Fort Wayne; sister, Cathy (Rev. Max) Haines of Berne; nine grandchildren, Andrew (Brittany) Scantlin; Caty (Payton) Chitwood; Anna, Luke, and Callie Scantlin; and Azariah and Sidney Inniger, all of Fort Wayne; and Noah and Jacob Conover of Gary; and one great-grandchild, Finnley Scantlin of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, March 5 from 4-7 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday, March 6 at Northside Missionary Church, 736 Lillian Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
