Sovilla Schwartz

Sovilla N. Schwartz, 81, of Monroe passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her residence. She was born July 20, 1940, in Berne to Noah S. and Christina D. (Wickey) Wengerd. She was married August 27, 1961, in Berne to Noah F. Schwartz.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish. She was a homemaker and was an excellent quilter.
She is survived by her husband of Monroe; four sons, Menno N.S. Schwartz of Rome City; Marvin N.S. (Elizabeth) Schwartz; and Mark N.S. (Elizabeth M.) Schwartz, both of Monroe; and Walter N.S. (Amanda K.) Schwartz of Shipshewana; four daughters, Susann N.S. (Paul L.) Hilty of Shipshewana; Arlene N.S. (Christ A.) Schmidt of Mooreland; and Kristine N.S. (Reuben) Girod; and Marie N.S. (Emanuel E.) Girod, both of New Haven; daughter-in-law, Anna B. Schwartz of Mooreland; four sisters, Elizabeth N. Schwartz of Berne; Mary N. Schwartz of LaGrange; Margaret N. Eicher of Marysville; and Rebecca N. (Melvin F.) Schwartz of Geneva; two brothers, Noah N. (Josephine) Wengerd of Geneva; and Daniel N. (Anna) Wengerd of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Salome Wengerd of Berne; brother-in-law, Samuel M. Girod of Berne; 52 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, David (Mary) Wengerd; Solomon N. Wengerd; and John N. (Rosie) Wengerd; two sisters, Barbara N. Girod; and Christina N. Wengerd; and three brothers-in-law, Amos Schwartz; Menno R.  Schwartz; and Benji B. Eicher.
Visitation was Thursday, June 30 from 1-8 p.m. and will be Friday, July 1 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Noah F. Schwartz residence, 1111 W. 50 N., Monroe. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 2 at 9 a.m. at the residence. Officiating will be Bishop David Christner. Burial will be at Winchester Cemetery in Monroe
