Sophia Taylor

Sophia A. Taylor, 18, of Berne passed away Friday, December, 17, 2021, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. She was born December 14, 2003, in Chongqing, China and was the daughter of Timothy and Stephania (Montjoy) Taylor.
She was a senior at South Adams High School in Berne. She loved listening to praise and worship music and attended First Missionary Church in Berne.    
She is survived by her parents; brother, Drew (Shelby) Taylor; sister, Holly Taylor; grandparents, Wilbur and Linda Taylor; two nieces, Nora and Lanie; and three nephews, Grayson, Hudson and Wesley, all of Berne.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Nick Taylor; maternal grandfather, Larry Montjoy; maternal grandmother, Rosemary Scherrer, and maternal great-grandmother, Betty Scherrer.
Visitation will be three and a half hours prior to the 6 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, December 21 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Schwartz and Wilbur Taylor.
