Sheila Cincotta
Sheila Ann Cincotta, 85, was born June 14, 1934, in Penn Yan, New York to Richard and Constance Mahar. She was married to George Anthony "Tony" Cincotta.
Sheila worked side by side for many years with her beloved sister, Jackie, at the Wyoming Store in Portland. She later worked at UTA in Berne until her retirement. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed all kinds of card games, board games, jigsaw puzzles and needlepoint. She played cards regularly with her Tuesday Group and Friday Night Gang. Her family has fond memories of her wonderful cooking and Sunday dinners. She was a faithful member of St. Marys of the Presentation Church.
She is survived by her sister, Jackie Donnally of Geneva; daughter, Toni (Rick) Beymer of Zionsville; three sons, Tim (William) Cincotta of Sarasota, Florida; Tom (Joni) Cincotta of Bluffton; and George (Kathy) Cincotta of Sugarland, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Beymer) Tooley; Chris Beymer; Pat Beymer; Margaret Beymer; Lydia Beymer; Austin Cincotta; Tori Cincotta; Tony Cincotta; Cassie (Cincotta) Campbell; and Gabriel Cincotta; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband on January 24, 1981.
Due to the coronavirus, a private graveside burial will be Saturday, May 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneva. Officiating will be Father Bosco Perrera. A celebration of her life will be scheduled for a later date. Downing & Glancy Funeral Home will be hosting a live stream via their Facebook page at the time of the graveside service.
