Ruth Ann Roehm

Ruth Ann Roehm, 71, of Willshire, Ohio walked through the eternal gate to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 7, 2018 at home. She was born on Sunday, April 27, 1947 in Celina, Ohio to Carl Jacob Smalley and Alice (Smith) Smalley. She was married on May 22, 1992 in College Station, Texas to Elmer Roehm.

She worked at Laurels Assisted Living in Rockford, Ohio as a nurse's aide and also at Woodcrest for eight years as the activities director.

She was a supervisor of Faith Outreach Christian School from 1982-1984, a foster parent, featured speaker for Women's A Glow, and Navasota band booster parent. She chaperoned many trips, was a Sunday school teacher, worship leader, and song leader. She enjoyed visiting residents at the nursing home. She was also a state certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Zion Lutheran-Schumm and Only Believe Ministries.  

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Anna (Mark) Duncan of Lima, Ohio; step-son, Kerry (Debbie) Roehm of Rockford, Ohio; step-daughter, Annette (Jeff) Brehm of Celina, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Barkley of Decatur; and Julie (Van Riley) Long of Rockford, Ohio; brother, Tom (Deb) Smalley of Celina, Ohio; two step-brothers, Jr. (Connie) Brigner of Rockford, Ohio; and Mac (Deb) Brigner of Payne, Ohio; step-sister, Susan Jane Kuhn of Rockford, Ohio; six grandchildren, Amanda (Jordan) Henkle; Austin Dugan; Kameron Roehm; Madison Roehm; Hannah Duncan; and Juliette Duncan; and three great-grandchildren, Rhett Henkle; Laikyn Henkle; and Amelia Dugan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Bessie Brigner McAfee; step-sister, Margret Hill; and half-brother, Hugh Thomas.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, September 12 at Praise Point Church, 555 Decatur Rd., Willshire, Ohio. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Kittle. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran-Schumm Cemetery.
