Roberta A. Maloney

Roberta A. Maloney, 57, of Geneva passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at her residence. She was born on Friday, October 21, 1960 in Portland to John G. and Helen J. (Crawmer) Pyle. She was married on Thursday, May 3, 2001 in Decatur to Larry Maloney.

She was a 1979 graduate of Jay County High School. She attended the Forgiven Church in Bluffton. She had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Berne, at Centennial for several years, and as manager for three years at American Legion in Berne. She was a life member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Riders in Berne.

She is survived by her husband of Geneva; two sons, Jason A. (Sue) Elzey of Bluffton; and Preston M. Lewallen of Berne; two grandchildren, Matthew Feasel; and Lizzy Elzey; two sisters, Norma Smitley of Dunkirk; and Jenny Schisler of Pennville; and three brothers, Bob Pyle; and Jim (Alice) Pyle, both of Berne; and Donald R. (Bev) Salmon of Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John D. Pyle; and Bill Pyle; and four sisters, June Hough; Thelma Kongar; Maxine Davis; and Imogene Hart.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Funeral services will follow at 4:30 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Ochsner.
