Robert Ralston

Robert C. Ralston, 91, of Geneva passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at 9:13 a.m. at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur. He was born Tuesday, July 29, 1930, in Adams County to Vernon and Mabel (Cook) Ralston. He was married Saturday, February 27, 1954, in Bryant to Mary A. Kelly.
He attended school in Geneva and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1992 from Franklin Electric in Bluffton. He was a charter member of the VFW in Geneva and the Berne American Legion Post # 468. He enjoyed playing euchre, riding his Harley Davidson across the country, hunting and fishing. He was an Abate & Hog member.
He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Joe) Patch of Geneva; son, Donald (Beth) Ralston of Bryant; five grandchildren, Sarah LeMaster of Linn Grove; Cassandra Hall of Columbus; James Wheeler IV of Bluffton; Damon Ralston of Indianapolis; and Robert Ralston of Jonesboro; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on August 30, 2009; and 10 siblings.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 18 from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, November 19 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Officiating will be Marvin Schwartz. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva. Military rites will be conducted by the Geneva VFW and the Berne American Legion.
