Rachel Schutz

Rachel Ann Schutz, 94, of Pandora, Ohio passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at her residence. She was born September 15, 1926, in Berne to Menno and Leota (Sprunger) Eicher. She was married August 5, 1950, to Oliver Schutz.
She was a homemaker and also worked as a custodian at Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora, Ohio for many years. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Pandora, Ohio where she served as a deaconess and various other positions. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, loyal friend and neighbor. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and great farm wife.
She is survived by four sons, David (Gaylene) Schutz of Dunkirk, Ohio; Jonathan (Teresa) Schutz of Columbus Grove, Ohio; Mary (Mark) Krohn of Lima, Ohio; and Mark (Sue) Schutz of Pandora, Ohio; three sisters, Lena Nagel; and Nancy (Don) Graber, both of Berne; and Amy (Robert) Wechter of Ligonier; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Rasheem) Toney Schutz; Isaac (Abigail) Schutz; Levi (Bethany) Schutz; Miranda Schutz; Luke Krohn; Rachel Krohn; Justin (Megan) Schutz; and Nathan Schutz; five great-grandchildren, Caiden, Gabriella, Gracelynn, Georgia and Zachary Schutz; and two great-grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 6, 2011; grandson, Zachary Christian Schutz; and brother, John P. Eicher.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14 at 11 a.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Church, 4869 Ada Road, Lima, Ohio. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Bayliff.
