Paul Zehr

Paul Ernest Zehr, 80, of Berne passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Swiss Village in Berne. He was born on January 26, 1939 in Berne to Ernest and Eugenia (Shepard) Zehr. He met Marilyn Haight at God’s Bible School and College in Cincinnati, Ohio and married her on October 28, 1961 in Pennsylvania.
He was a faithful member of Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene. He was a Sunday school teacher, song leader and a board member. He worked in a purchasing, scheduling and supervisory role at EP Graphics for 42 years. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed woodworking, tree cultivation and collecting printing memorabilia. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Most of all, he loved traveling with his wife.   
He is survived by his daughter, Darlene Zehr of Adrian, Michigan; three sons, Darrell (Melisa) Zehr of Middletown; Duane (Dawn) Zehr of Helena, Montana; and Brad (Julie) Zehr of Spencerville; and five grandchildren, Shelsea Zehr; Cassie Zehr; Christian Zehr; Andrew Zehr; and Allie Zehr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on September 26, 2018; and sister, Esther Richardson.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 3 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Monday, November 4 at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene in rural Berne. Officiating will be Pastor David Cox. Burial will be at Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery.
