Olen Amstutz

Olen L. Amstutz, 95, of Celina, Ohio passed from this life into the arms of Jesus Thursday, November 26, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 16, 1924, in Berne to Henry and Emma (Slaughter) Amstutz. He was married May 4, 1947, to Mabel Smith.
He graduated from Celina Senior High School with the class of 1943. He was a member of Grace Missionary Church in Celina and a charter member of the Celina V.F.W. Post #5713. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was discharged from WWII as a wounded warrior. He was the president and founder of Econo Mfg. Inc. and was part owner of Amstutz Hatcheries.
He is survived by his wife in Celina, Ohio; four daughters, Jane (David) Chicoine of Boulder, Colorado; Susan (Rodney) Myers of Fort Wayne; Linda (John) Younglove of Battle Creek, Michigan; and Patty (Jeff) Hazel of Celina, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Nancy Amstutz; and Cindy Amstutz; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Virgil (Majeska) Amstutz; and Harry (Anna Lee) Amstutz; sister and brother-in-law, Berniece (Paul) Adams; and father and mother-in-law, Earl (Imo) Smith.
Private family graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 2 at the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery in Celina, Ohio. Officiating will be Pastor Steven Howell. Military honors will be provided by the Celina V.F.W Post #5713 and the Celina American Legion Post #210.
