Myrna Tumbleson

Myrna L. Tumbleson, 87, of Berne passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 21, 2024, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur. She was born Sep. 20, 1936, at home in Geneva to Arthur Franklin “Jack” and Dorothy May (Brewster) Weaver. She was married on Aug. 31, 1957, at Mt. Carmel Church in Berne to Roland L. Tumbleson.
She was a member of Mt. Hope Nazarene Church in Berne. She was a waitress at Parkway Restaurant in Berne for many years. She spent many years raising her family and keeping a perfect house.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Deb) Tumbleson of Geneva; and Philip (Amy) Tumbleson of Berne; two daughters, Pamela (Mark) Werst of Berne; and Kimberly (John) Neuenschwander of Keystone; three brothers, Wayne (Jeanne) Weaver; and Stanley (Karen) Weaver, both of Geneva; and Tex (Ceann) Weaver of Berne; sister, Gloria (Delmer) Orme of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Oct. 18, 2002; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and sister, Phyllis.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 25 from 4-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Friday, Jan. 26 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor David Cox. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
