Marvin Tague

Marvin W. Tague, 77, of Decatur passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born October 11, 1943, in Madison to Wayne and Betty Jean (Jenkins) Tague. He was married January 17, 1965, to Helen Reppert. They enjoyed almost 56 years together.
He served in the Indiana Air National Guard 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne and was honorably discharged following his service. He was a member of Salem Magley Church where he held various positions within the church. He graduated from Monmouth High School in 1962. He was employed at General Electric in Decatur and Fort Wayne from 1963 until his retirement in 1997. He also worked as a grain inspector for 13 years for Woodson Tenet in Decatur. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, golf, IU basketball, Colts football, woodworking and yard work.
He is survived by his wife of Decatur; son, Michael (Rachel) Tague of Monroe; two daughters, Rhonda Moser of Berne; and Lisa Tague of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Ryan Moser; Cambree Tague; and Sullivan Tague.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rodney Tague; and son-in-law, Carey “Tater” Moser.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 19 from 1-4 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Sunday, December 20 at Salem Magley Church. Officiating will be Pastor Christopher Hirschy. Burial will be at Salem Magley Cemetery.
