Marie Shetler

Marie L. Shetler, 90, of Berne passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at her residence. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Adams County to Chris H. and Lydia (Schwartz) Hilty. She was married on November 3, 1949 in Adams County to Henry J. Shetler.
Marie was a member of the Old Order Amish.
She is survived by her son, Melvin (Marie) Shetler of Berne; four brothers, Sam Hilty; Roman (Flossie) Hilty; and Marvin (Martha) Hilty, all of Berne; and Joe (Mary Ann) Hilty of Monroe; four sisters, Laura (Elmer) Miller; and Carol (Lavern) Troyer, both of Berne; Anna Mae (Jim) Lengacher of Woodburn; and Lydia Yoder of Vincennes; five granddaughters, Rhonda (Andy) Hilty; Arlene (Amos) Eicher; Lisa (Paul) Eicher of Berne; and Rose Marie (Joseph) Hilty, all of Berne; and Laura (Mose) Hilty of Monroe; four grandsons, Mervin (Mary) Shetler; Norman (Elma) Shetler; Stephen (Susan) Shetler; and Melvin (Lydia) Shetler, Jr., all of Berne; 62 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 7, 2013; and two brothers, Alvin and Edward Hilty.
Visitation was from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, January 11 and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sunday, January 12 at the Melvin Shetler residence, 565W 350S, Berne. Funeral service were at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 13 at the residence. Officiating was Bishop Marvin L. Hilty. Burial was at Schwartz Cemetery in rural Berne.
