Lila Roe

Lila L. Roe, 91, of Monroe passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at her residence. She was born January 10, 1929, in Mercer County, Ohio to Luther and Clara (Schaadt) Gibbons. She was married December 14, 1946, in Adams County to Raymond R. Roe.
She attended Spring Hill Missionary Church. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with their family farm. She loved to garden and enjoyed her flowers and her cats. She enjoyed spending her winters in Davenport, Florida.
She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Death; and Clara Jordan, both of Decatur; and Deborah (Rick) Bollenbacher of Monroe; son, Barry Roe of Berne; two brothers, Tom Gibbons of Celina, Ohio; and Denny Gibbons of Rockford, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Deveda Roe of Monroe; 16 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 1, 1999; three sons, Freddie in infancy; and Rex and David Roe; and two sisters, Monica Felver; and Darlene Gibbons.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 20 from 12-5 p.m. and Monday, December 21 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. In complying with the directives from the state of Indiana for Adams County, 50 people will be allowed in the building at one time. Staff will monitor those numbers, and you may be asked to wait in your car before entry. Please be patient. Masks are required, and the family also asks you to maintain your physical distancing.
Private family service will be held.
