Leo Bailey

Leo M. Bailey, 91, of Port Orange, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 7:45 p.m. at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was born June 8, 1929, in Decatur to Peter D. and Mary S. (Myers) Bailey. He was married in 1949 to Donna Brough. She preceded him in death in 1963. He was married December 1, 1966, to Elmira M. Kraner. She preceded him in death April 17, 2019.
He worked at Dunbar, Berco and Amishville. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He will be remembered as a great guy who would help anyone, fix anything and had an ornery sense of humor and sharp wit. He enjoyed rocket launches, traveling, golf cart rides and working on puzzles.
He is survived by his daughter, Bev Ross of Bluffton; two sisters, Shirley Hoffman of Decatur; and Phyllis Balsiger of Arizona; five step-children, Linda Minton; and Sherman (Anne) Minton, both of Port Orange, Florida; Sally Cook; and Karen Minton, both of Berne; and Wallace (Peg) Minton of Springboro, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, George Bailey.
Military services will be at a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
