Kay Kelly

Kay A. Kelly, 71, of rural Geneva passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:45 p.m. at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born Wednesday, March 22, 1950, in Fort Wayne to Lester Alvin and Hope Jeanette (Warner) Merica. She was married Saturday, August 16, 1969, in Fort Wayne to Dean Keith Kelly.
She was a 1968 graduate of Southside High School. She was the office clerk at Swiss Plaza Hardware in Berne and had worked at K-Mart in Decatur. She enjoyed cooking, watching The Young & The Restless and loved cats.
She is survived by her husband of Geneva; son, Jeffrey Woodrow Kelly of Geneva; daughter, Nicole Kay (Jacob) Plas of Berne; brother, David Merica of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Daniel Merica.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 1 from 2-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, September 2 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.
