John Hatfield

John E. Hatfield, 48, of Pennville passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, at 1:49 p.m. at his residence. He was born Thursday, August 31, 1972, in Alexandria, Virginia to William Johnson and Evelyn (Vogeley) Hatfield.
He was a graduate of Adams Central High School. He formerly attended the Springhill Church in Monroe Township. He had worked for NAAS Foods, Red Gold in Geneva, Zurcher Tire in Monroe and Muffler Doctor in Bluffton. He enjoyed gardening, art and drawing pictures.
He is survived by his father of Berne; his mother of St. Petersburg, Florida; significant other, Cindy Chandler of Pennville; son, Jonse K. Hatfield of South Carolina; daughter, Sadie E. Hatfield Lenc of Streetsboro, Ohio; brother, Robert James Hatfield of Arlington, Virginia; extended family, Brittany Marks of Decatur; Lyndsey (Blake) Fox of Berne; and Logan (McCormick) Clouser of Bluffton; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Johnson Hatfield.
Visitation will be Monday, July 19 from 3-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral services Tuesday, July 20 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Officiating will be Pastor David Cox. Burial will be at Backesto Cemetery in Decatur.
