John Habegger


John F. Habegger, 77, of Linn Grove passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on February 12, 1942 in Berne to Ellis F. and  Lenora (Neuenschwander) Habegger. He was married on September 2, 1962 in Bluffton to Judy A. Mason.
He attended Berne French and graduated in 1960. He worked for CTS Printing in Berne for 42 years and retired in 2002. He was a member of Living Water United Church in Bluffton, where he served on the church board, lay leader  Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia and was a lifelong Dodger fan. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable garden, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Dawn R. (Chris) Kreigh of Linn Grove; son, Scott A. Habegger of Ossian; two brothers, Paul L. (Donna) Habegger of North Manchester; and Jarod L. Habegger of Berne; granddaughter, Mikala (Colton) Watson; and three great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Sawyer and Sadie Watson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 East SR 124, Bluffton and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Friday, October 4 at Living Water United Church, 6486 South 700 East, Bluffton. Officiating will be Pastor Clark Stoller. Burial will be at Old Salem Cemetery in Bluffton.
