John Augsburger

John H. Augsburger, 82 of Berne passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Swiss Village in Berne. He was born December 25, 1938, in Decatur to Homer and Jean (Egly) Augsburger. He was married September 9, 1967 at Cross UCC in Berne to Bernice Yager.
He served in the United States Army, serving 29 months in Germany. He attended West Missionary Church in Berne and was a lifelong member of the Decatur Optimist Club. He was the owner of Sudden Service Printing in Decatur, where he worked 34 years before retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his wife of Berne; daughter, Andrea Larrabee of Monroe; two sons, John (Heather) Patrick Augsburger; and John Michael Augsburger, both of Berne; four grandchildren, Sierra, Caleb and Somer Augsburger; and Becky Larrabee; and one great-grandchild, Aubree Marie Frank.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be three hours prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service Sunday, February 14 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Keith Rupp. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
Military graveside honors will be provided by American Legion Post #43 Color Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission or to the West Missionary Church.
