Jim Pennington

Jim Pennington, 58, of Linn Grove passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on June 28, 1961 in Bluffton to Carl E. and Gladys N. (Lee) Pennington. He was married on July 11, 2015 at the Ouabache State Park in Bluffton to Erin Gallmeyer.
He attended South Adams High School and worked maintenance for FCC-Adams for the last eight years. He enjoyed IU basketball, golfing, fishing, watching the Raiders and camping with his family.
He is survived by his mother of Geneva; his wife of Linn Grove; five daughters, Taya Patch; Taren Bauman; Casey (John) Smith; Taylea (Rodney) McKean; and Madison Pennington; three sons, Jimmy (April) Pennington; Zach Pennington; and Austin Pennington; three bonus children, Miles Ford; Marcus Ford; and Raven Ford; sister, Mary A. Pennington of Bryant; three brothers, Matt W. Pennington; and Carl Leon Pennington, both of Geneva; and Rex A. Pennington of Monroe; and 22 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Bill and Scott Pennington; and one grandchild, Darius.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, August 9 and two hours prior to the 6 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, August 10 at Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Officiating will be Pastor Wilbur Taylor. Burial will be at Stahl cemetery.
As he would prefer, the family prefers casual dress or wear your favorite sports clothing for his visitation and service.
