Jerome L. Flueckiger, 99, of Berne passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Swiss Village in Berne. He was born June 25, 1921, in Adams County to Carl and Nora (Mettler) Flueckiger. He was married May 15, 1948, to Thelma Lee Boyd.
He served his country in WWII in the United States Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945 and was very proud of being a B-24 pilot. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Berne and also a member of the American Legion Post #468. He was a retired Adams County farmer and was also employed with CTS in Berne for 25 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed following national politics.
He is survived by his sister, Geraldine Craig of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife October 10, 2012.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 20 at 11 a.m. at Westlawn Cemetery in Geneva. Officiating will be Rev. Anita Rediger.
