James Stauffer

James Frederick Stauffer, 66, of Columbus, Ohio went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday, July 31, 2020, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1954, to Frederick and Claudette (Nagel) Stauffer.
He graduated from South Adams High School in 1972 and attended Goshen College. He worked 43 years as sales and purchasing manager at Panel Center, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, which was started by his uncle, Chuck Nagel.
He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, going to hockey games, working with his hands and spending time with friends and family. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his cooking skills, helping others and the special way he interacted with his nephews and played with their children.
He is survived by his parents of Berne; two brothers, Bob (Judy) Stauffer of Harlan; and Mike (Erin) Stauffer of Indianapolis; sister, Diane Stauffer of West Palm Beach, Florida; two nephews, Nate (Becca) Stauffer of Harlan and their children, Kade and Lila; and Ryan (Katie) Stauffer of Fort Wayne and their children, Brandon, Kayla and Jacob.
Due to public concerns of safety, there will be a private viewing only Saturday, August 8 until 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. at the First Mennonite Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Linthicum and Pastor Jim Schwartz.
