Ida J. Schwartz, 54, of Decatur passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020, as a result of a traffic accident. She was born April 10, 1966, to Joe E. and Mary Troyer. She was married May 11, 1989, to Elmer I. Schwartz.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish.
She is survived by her husband; seven sons, Philip S. (Malinda) Schwartz; Jonathan S. (special friend Elizabeth) Schwartz; Neal S. Schwartz; Elmer S. (special friend Katie Ann) Schwartz; James S. (special friend Susie) Schwartz; Wilmer S. Schwartz; and Matthew S. Schwartz; three daughters, Rhoda S. (Eli) Schwartz; Amy S. Schwartz; and Lucy S. Schwartz; parents, Joe E. and Becky Troyer; two brothers, Neal J. (Katie) Troyer; and Rufas J. (Elizabeth) Troyer; six sisters, Betty (Martin) Wickey; Suzanne (Jonas) Schwartz; Kathryn (Jake) Schwartz; Sylvia (Mark) Schwartz; Sara (Daniel) Girod; and Edna (Carl) Schwartz; and her father and mother-in-law, Elmer L. and Ida Schwartz.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Troyer; and sister, Rebecca Troyer.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 10 from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, June 11 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. at 1906S 300E, Decatur. Funeral service was Friday, June 12 at 9 a.m. Burial took place at East Salem Cemetery.
