Georgia J. Amstutz, 95, of Berne passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born April 8, 1926, to William and Philippine Norr. She was married to Frederick Amstutz.
She loved quilting and made dozens of them during her life and many were donated to the Michiana Relief Sale over the years. She taught Sunday school for many years. She and her husband also volunteered at Camp Gilead in Polk City, Florida.
She is survived by two sons, Deryll (Janice) Amstutz; and Norman (Deb) Amstutz; two daughters, Donna (Paul) Habegger; and Sharon (James) Blackford; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; eight brothers and sisters; and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 9 from 4-8 p.m. at Liechty Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, September 10 at First Mennonite Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Schwartz. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
