Faye Woodward

Faye E. Woodward, 86, of Berne passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. She was born December 11, 1935, in Decatur to Lewis and Opal (Reynolds) Haines. She was married June 29, 1957, to Oren Woodward.
She was a member of Berne Church of the Nazarene, where she was involved in the life of the church. She worked on the mission field with her husband for many years and in multiple countries. She played the organ for many church events throughout her life — foreign and domestic. She loved her family very much and always enjoyed spending time with them, especially this time of year for Christmas.
She is survived by her husband of Berne; three daughters, Sharon (Guy) Blazer of Washington Court House, Ohio; Manna Asher of Belleville, Illinois; and Brenda (Jonathan) Hinkle of New Haven; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Merlin Woodward; and two brothers, Glen and Roy Haines.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, December 22 at Berne Church of the Nazarene. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Phillips. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton
