Elmira M. Bailey

Elmira M. Bailey, 94, of Port Orange, Florida passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her residence with family at her side. Her gentle quiet spirit will be greatly missed. She was born on October 25, 1924 in Geneva to Russel and Gladys (Pace) Kraner. She was married in 1966 to Leo M. Bailey.

She graduated from Geneva High School in 1942. She retired from CTS in Berne after 27 years. She was a loving wife and mother and WWII veteran. She loved, crocheting, traveling, reading, sewing, watching rocket launches and being with family.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters; Linda Minton of Port Orange, Florida; Sally Cook; and Karen Minton, both of Berne; two sons, Wallace “Bud” (Peg) Minton of Springboro, Ohio; and Sherman (Anne) Minton of Port Orange, Florida; step-daughter, Bev (Lynn) Ross of Bluffton; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Frances Beeler; and two brothers, Carl Kraner; and Richard Kraner.

Military services will be at a later date at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
