Earl Johnson

Earl E. Johnson, 85, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Monday, April 20, 2020, at his residence. He was born June 21, 1934, in Decatur to Melvin S. and Martha (Zurcher) Johnson. He was married August 17, 1974, at Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur to Pamela McCoy.
He was a member of the Decatur Church of God. He was a graduate of Adams Central High School in 1953 and was the owner and operator of Mi-La-Dee Beauty Shop in Decatur for over 40 years. Even though he was blind, he enjoyed walking around town. Many people will remember him from the local restaurants he visited and his kind and loving spirit.
He is survived by his loving companion of the past seven years, Pansy Hullinger of Decatur; special friends, Amie (Mark) McBride; and Sue Robinson, both of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on April 2, 2013; and brother, Harold Johnson.
A drive bye visitation will be held Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. When a visitor arrives, they will be directed to follow a path which allows them to greet the family. You must remain in your vehicles at all times to ensure social distancing. This has been approved by the Adams County Health Department.
