Donald Harvey

Donald W. “Don” Harvey, 88, of rural Bluffton passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. He was born April 13, 1932, in Adams County to Claude A. and Essie P. (Koos) Harvey. He was married December 26, 1964, in Bluffton to Arleen Sowards.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a self-employed farmer for most of his life in Adams and Wells counties.
He is survived by his son, Steven W. (Dawn) Harvey of rural Bluffton; and three grandchildren, Andrew W. Harvey; Mathew S. Harvey; and Rachel D. Harvey, all of rural Bluffton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on July 12, 2007; an infant son in 1973; two brothers, Dale A. Harvey; and Claude Harvey, Jr.; and two sisters, Francille Zimmerman; and Kathleen Frantz.
To honor his love of farming, friends are invited to participate in a drive through visitation that will take place Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at his home farm in the barnyard. The family would love to see you but ask that you remain in your vehicles as you drive through the barnyard. A procession will leave from the farm and arrive at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton where a family graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Officiating will be Doyle Frauhiger.
