David Haworth

David P. Haworth, 79, of Berne passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at his residence. He was born November 12, 1941, in Portland to Roger and Mabel (Tharp) Haworth. He was married July 10, 1982, to Jane Dague.
He graduated from Madison High School in Jay County in 1960. He was a member of the Adams County Bowling Hall of Fame. He loved bowling, accomplishing at least 24 perfect 300 games and seven 800 series. He also enjoyed golf. He owned and operated Haworth Lanes in Berne along with his wife for 40 years, retiring in December of 2013.
He is survived by his wife of Berne; two daughters, Shari (George) Caster of Union City; and April Wimmer of Berne; four sons, Bill (Deb) Haworth of Union City; Kevin (Tricia) Haworth of Decatur; David (Denise) Conner of South Whitley; and Tim (Malisa) Conner of Berne; sister, Cathy (Ted) Habegger of Portland; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by parents; and three grandchildren, Spencer Haworth; Justin Trocano; and Abigail Conner.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 1 from 12-6 p.m. and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Monday, August 2 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor David Cox. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
