David Clark

Rev. David B. Clark, 103, of Fort Wayne passed into his Heavenly home Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil to Raymond and Lucy (Shalders) Clark, and he grew up in Jamaica as a fifth generation Jamaican. He was married for 74 years to his wife, Helen M. (Christensen) Clark.
He and his wife graduated from the Fort Wayne Bible Institute and returned as missionaries in Jamaica for 36 years. Upon returning to Indiana, he was the pastor of West Missionary Church in Berne, retiring in 1985. After retiring full time, he was the minister of hospital visitation for Fellowship Missionary Church in Fort Wayne until 2002. He led volunteer work teams to build Kendal Camp, Jamaica from 1989-2006. He was most recently a member of Northpoint Community Church in Fort Wayne and spent his later years teaching Bible studies in his home. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by his four daughters, Grace P. (Roger) Raker of Toledo, Ohio; Barbara A. Luker; and Judith H. (John) Haagen, both of Fort Wayne; and Joanne Ummel of Leo; brother, Paul Clark of Lima, Peru; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2016; daughter, Eileen M. Steiner; two grandchildren, Matthew Raker; and Emily Haagen; and brother, William Clark.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 1 p.m. celebration of life service Saturday, June 18 at Northpoint Community Church, 10513 Leo Road, Fort Wayne.
