David A. Roe

David A. Roe, 62, of Monroe passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne following an accident at his residence. He was born on Thursday, July 7, 1955 in Decatur to Raymond and Lila (Gibbons) Roe. He was married to Deveda Roehm.

He was employed by the Union Carpenter Local #232 and retired after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Union Carpenters Local #232.

He is survived by his wife of Monroe; his mother of Monroe; three daughters, Melissa (Mark) Shelton of New Castle; Emily Roe (Jud Canada) of Lizton; and Betsey (Trent) Gamble of Berne; two sons, Daniel (Jena) Roe; and Jonathan (Natalie) Roe, both of Decatur; three sisters, Brenda Death; and Clara Jordan, both of Decatur; and Deborah (Rick) Bollenbacher of Monroe; brother, Barry Roe of Berne; and 12 grandchildren, Kyndal Roe; Kenton Roe; Mason Shelton; Kale Roe; Colton Gamble; Madelyn Shelton; Kallie Roe; Jace Gamble; Kiptyn Roe; Ty Gamble; Libby Canada; and Crew Gamble.

He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Frederick Roe; and Rex Roe.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 23 at Zion Lutheran Church – Schumm, 17434 Schumm Road, Willshire, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Timothy Sims. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Church – Schumm.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church – Schumm or the Monroe Fire Department.
