Dal Fosnaugh

Dal John Fosnaugh, 79, of Berne passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 6:42 p.m. at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. He was born Tuesday, November 24, 1942, in Adams County. His parents were Victor John Fosnaugh and Vivian Lucille Morgan. He was married Saturday, April 4, 1964, in Berne to Doveanna Nussbaum.
He was a 1961 graduate of Geneva High School. He attended the Great Lakes Bible College in Lansing, Michigan, and in 1979, he became a minister. He preached at the Uniontown Church of Christ for 26 years. He worked at CTS in Berne for 43 years. He was a board member at Ball State Christian Campus House and at the Woodburn Christian Children’s Home. He had been a supply minister for many congregations over the years. He was a member of the Decatur Church of Christ where he had been preaching for the last five years. He enjoyed reading books, camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of Berne; two daughters, Michelle F. (Barry) Fisher of Berne; and Christy M. (Myron) Klesner of Grand Junction, Colorado; six grandchildren, Andrew (Laura) Fisher; Aimee (Jacob) Haught; Abbie (Zack) Clark; Emily Klesner; Joshua Klesner; and Caleb Klesner; four sisters, Judy (Gary) Rice of Niles, Michigan; Jane Uhrick of Bluffton; Vickie (Gerald) Bailey of Portland; and Jill Sipe of Monroe; three brothers, Ron (Beth) Fosnaugh of Lafayette; and Gary J. Fosnaugh; and Jim (Karen) Fosnaugh, both of Geneva; four great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson expected in October.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Justin L. Fosnaugh; and William F. Fosnaugh, who died at birth.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 6 from 1-7 p.m. at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, October 7 at Decatur Church of Christ, 700 E. Monroe St., Decatur. Officiating will be Pastor Gil Alicea. The service will be live streamed on the Glancy Funeral Homes Facebook page. The livestream will begin a few minutes before the service. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton.
