Coleen Allmandinger

Coleen S. Allmandinger, 90, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. She was born July 16, 1929, in Madison, Wisconsin to Virgil H. and Arveda (Rumple) Wagner. She was married December 24, 1951, to William F. Allmandinger of Schumm, Ohio. They settled on a farm in Jefferson Township in southern Adams County.
She was an active member of Cross United Church of Christ in Berne. She shared her time and talents as a Sunday school teacher, 4-H club leader, Indiana Extension homemaker and many other volunteer opportunities. She enjoyed and shared books about history, religion, science fiction, biographies and time-honored classics. She relished brain-teasing puzzles, the creative and performing arts and a variety of crafts.
She is survived by her children, Lee All; and Kay All, both of Berne; Kent and Anita Allmandinger of Lafayette; and Jon Allmandinger of Fort Wayne; sister, Gertrude (Schwartz) Kropa of Meredith, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; step-father, Christian W.R. Schwartz; and 10 siblings, Darrel Wagner; Rosalyn (Wagner) Kuhn; Larry Schwartz; Ruth (Schwartz) Brown; Mary (Schwartz) Bahner; Ernest Schwartz; Vera (Schwartz) Lehman; Harold Schwartz; Virginia (Schwartz) Sprunger; and Anna Jane (Schwartz) Gilliom.
A private graveside service will be held at MRE Cemetery at a later date.
