Charolet Mankey

Charolet A. Mankey, 73, caring wife and loving mother of seven children, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Van Wert County Hospital. She was born August 7, 1946, in Auburn to Glenn and Dortha (Hostetler) Graber, where she was raised on Christian values. She was married June 23, 1979, to Dale Mankey, Jr.
She was known for her work as a kind and compassionate licensed practical nurse, finishing her career in retirement from Christian Care Retirement Community in 2013.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Jessica (spouse, Lisa Young) Mankey; Annette (David) Newman; Rebekah (partner, Jeffrey Martin) Mankey; and Patricia Mankey; three sons, Jason Mankey; Nathan (Elisha) Mankey; and Joseph (Sachet) Mankey; and 10 grandchildren, Gage and Aria Mankey; Kyla, Addison, Charolet and David Jr. Newman; Delilah McAndrews; Logan and Samuel Mankey; and Adrienne Smallman.
A public visitation will take place Monday, May 4 from 9-11 a.m. at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, they will be limiting people entering the building, so your patience is requested. A private family funeral service will also be held at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Dan York. Burial will be at St. Luke Cemetery in Decatur.
Memorials may be given to Grace Fellowship Church.
