Catherine Nussbaum

Catherine Anna Nussbaum, 95, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Fort Wayne. She was born April 4, 1925, to Mennis and Pauline Wulliman and was the youngest of eight children, who all preceded her in death. She was married July 30, 1944, to Kenyon Clair Nussbaum.
They were faithful members of the First Mennonite Church in Berne. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Friends and family who knew her will remember her for her loving and generous heart.  She lived a long, faithful life serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved playing the piano during her years at the First Mennonite Church and cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her son, Ronald (Elizabeth) Nussbaum of Angola; daughter, Susan (John) Rayls of Crossville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Joshua Rayls of Cookeville, Tennessee; Matthew (Missy) Rayls of McKinney, Texas; Kristin (Garrett) Hibiske of Mooresville, North Carolina; John (Emily) Nussbaum; Leanne (Ward) Hamlet; and Emily (Jesse) Carmody, all of Fort Wayne; and Lora (Chris) Miner of Leo; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband January 9, 2006.
Because of COVID-19, the family has planned a private funeral service at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
