Carrol Witte

Carrol Arnold Witte, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Adams Heritage in Monroeville. She was born on October 22, 1932 in Adams County to Carl E. and Orilla M. (Neuenschwander) McBride. She was married to Von Arnold, and he preceded her in death. She was then married to Glenn Witte.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. She was a graduate of Hartford Center High School. Following high school, she worked as a secretary for Anthony Wayne Services, and she also worked as a secretary at IPFW. She loved and enjoyed playing the piano and working on jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Susan (Mark) Lecher of Fort Wayne; three step-sons, Randy (Sarah) Witte; and Kent (Laura) Witte, both of Fort Wayne; and Gregg (Mary) Witte of Martinsville; two sisters, Deanna (Russel) Pageler of Tampa, Florida; and Chloe (Robert) Welch of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Tyler and Travis Behmlander of Grand Rapids, Michigan; six step-grandchildren, Misty, Michael, David, Alyssa, Jason and Nathan; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Trudy D. Behmlander; son, Kent Dale Arnold; and two step-sons, Gary and Brian Witte.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. on Friday, August 23 at and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, August 24 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Zeckzer. Burial will be at Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
