Bruce Bedwell

Bruce W. Bedwell, 66, of Bluffton passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was born June 30, 1953 in Decatur to William W. and Norma G. (McClure) Bedwell. He was married July 14, 1973 in Bluffton to Nancy J. Fiechter.
He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Bluffton. He graduated from Bellmont High School in 1971. Following graduation, he worked on the family farm and retired in June 2019 from Schwartz Plumbing and Heating as a parts manager. He enjoyed auto racing with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of Bluffton; three sons, Corey Bedwell of Bluffton; Tracey (Sarah) Bedwell of New Haven; and Ryan (Jenna) Bedwell of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Shaunda (Nathan) Opdycke of Holgate, Ohio; and Kristen (Andrew) Springmeyer of Batesville; brother, Max Bedwell of Sarasota, Florida; father-in-law, Herman Fiechter of Bluffton; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law; Phyllis J. Fiechter; and brother, Alan Bedwell.
Due to health concerns related to the coronavirus, private family visitation and services are being held at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Friends and family are invited to the public graveside service Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Adams County. Officiating will be Ron Kipfer. Services will also be broadcast thru the Apostolic Christian Central Network for home listening.
