Betty Lou Zurcher, 89, of Decatur passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. She was born on March 20, 1930 to Cecil E. and Bertha L. (Drummond) Harvey. She was married on June 14, 1952 to Joshua W. Zurcher.
She was a lifelong resident of Adams County and a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church where she worked in the church nursery for many years. She also worked at the Adams Central school cafeteria for 20 years.
She is survived by three sons, Carey D. Zurcher of Monroe; Farrel L. (Sarah) Zurcher of Decatur; and Tracy L. (Kristi) Zurcher of Berne; daughter, Janet L. (Ron) Frauhiger of Decatur; sister, Gladys Braden of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Reid, Chloe and Mallory Zurcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 21, 2018; four sisters; and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, October 4 at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, October 4 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Gadlage and Pastor Ernie Suman. Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery.
