Barbara Haefeli

Barbara R. Haefeli, 86, of Mansfield, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 5, 2022. She was born October 18, 1936, in Geneva to Earl and Vergena (Betz) Baumgartner.
A strong woman of faith, she attended First Congregational Church, Main Street Methodist Church and Church of God, all in Mansfield, Ohio and watched various religious sermons while homebound. Her top priorities were God and family.
She was a strong-willed woman, a homemaker and a caregiver to her special needs daughter, Cindy Simon. In her younger years, she worked at CTS in Berne. She was an avid supporter of the Republican Party. Her dedication earned her plaques of recognition, as well has her name being added to the Ronald Reagan Wall in the Republican Building in Washington, D.C. She also earned three physical fitness awards and was an expert in vitamin therapy. In her spare time, she enjoyed music, ballroom dancing, attending festivals, biking the trails and was a former member of the Mid-Ohio Bikers. She will always be missed and loved by her family.
She is survived by her children, Annette (Armand) LaMay; Barry (Shawn Falcon) Simon; and Betty (Daron Rowley) Forgacs; daughter-in-law, Ginny Cook; six grandchildren, Tyler, Steven, Bryan, Kevin, Megan and Summer; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Haefeli; daughter, Cindy Simon; and first husband, Floyd Simon.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Monday, December 12 at Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Burial will be Wednesday, December 14 at 1 p.m. at Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bryant with an hour of calling preceding the service in the chapel building.
