Audrey Manley

Audrey E. Manley, 86, of Berne passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born April 20, 1935, in Wren, Ohio to Basil and Lola (Drake) Gephart. She was the last surviving sibling of the six Gephart children. She was married October 9, 1955, in Decatur to Lester Manley.
She was a member of Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church and had been attending Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur. She was also active in the Adams County Christian Women’s Club. She was a graduate of Pleasant Mills High School in 1953 and was a homemaker. Prior to raising her family, she worked at First State Bank of Decatur. Her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn (Randy) Hower; and LeAnn (John) Marbach, both of Decatur; and Barbara Dellinger of Jackson, Michigan; son, Gerald Manley of Reno, Nevada; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Gaunt of Decatur; and John Koolman of Chesapeake, Virginia; sister-in-law, Ramona Gephart of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, Kari (Troy) Burkholder; Jamie (Jeff) Elzey; Amie (Eric Hagan) Manley-Omlor; Dr. Jody (Robb) Wilson; Michael (Emily) Hower; Timothy (Carley) Hower; Collette (David) Rich; Dr. Graham (Dr. Sara) Dellinger; Meghan (Jon) Johnson; Amanda (Nick) Kohne; and Lukas Marbach; 16 great-grandchildren, Braxton (Tara) Wilson; Owen Rich; Elijah Rich; Adelyn Hower; Aleena Hower; Gideon Hower; Moses Hower; Annabelle Hower; Isaac Hower; Samson Hower; Alexis Elzey; John Johnson; Logan Johnson; Norah Kohne; Evelyn Dellinger; and one due in September 2021; and a great-great-grandchild, Oliver Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on February 25, 2012; son, Gary Manley; son-in-law, Dennis Dellinger; brother, Ronnie Gephart; and four sisters, Patricia Gaunt; Ruth Walters; Eileen Jones; and Bonnie Koolman.
Visitation will be Monday, July 26 from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Ernie Suman. Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery.
