Arron R. Oyer

Arron R. Oyer, 19, of rural Geneva passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on July 26, 1997 in Fort Wayne to Timothy and Kristine (Wright) Oyer.

He worked at Michael Kinder & Sons Construction in Fort Wayne. He was an apprentice carpenter. He was going to school and doing on the job training. He loved his work. He loved learning and building things and being able to see the finished product. Before he started at MKS, he worked at Lehman Feed Mill in Berne. He said this is where he really learned to work for it was the physical labor that prepared him for what was ahead.

He was a jokester. He loved life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and driving around in his truck. He worked very hard to buy it and maintain it. He loved to ride 4 wheelers and was really good at it. He could ride wheelies and ride in a circle on two wheels for what seemed like 10 minutes. He liked to spend time on the boat at the lake. He was passionate about rescuing pit bulls and owned two. He also hated abuse and recently had done a job at a rescue center for battered women and it angered him to see a woman in this condition. He grew up camping and so he still loved bonfires and spending time around the fire with friends hanging out.

He was planning on moving out to get his own place and start his life on his own in two weeks. He and his fiance Madison had picked out an apartment and were planning a wedding in the near future. They attended First Missionary Church in Berne with his parents and his brother, Dylan and his girlfriend Alexis. He was looking forward to being an uncle to their son in August.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Dylan T. Oyer of Berne; fiance, Madison Huber of Berne; grandmother, Nancy Oyer of Berne; and grandparents, Charles and Pennie Wright of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Russell Oyer; and grandmother, Katheryn Wright.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 31 at First Missionary Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Don Williams. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
